Manningham shed Bradford

Coaling in smaller sheds was a mucky hard job

Bowling

Bowling junction was just north of Bowling
tunnel

Bowling junction allowed trains to run on to
Laisterdyke and Leeds without running down
into Bradford Exchange station

Bowling tunnel took the L&Y Manchester line
beneath Bradfords other model village of
Ripleyville and Bowling

Great Northern Railway into Keighley

Here the goods traffic left Parkwood Tunnel and
Ran down and under the Midland line into it's own
Goods yard to the west of Keighley station

The GNR Track bed from Hainsworth Moor Rd
down to the Junction with the Midland line, now
 the KWVR

Somewhere beyond the bushes the passenger traffic
joined the Midland line for the run into Keighley
station

The Midland line, now the KWVR just below Ingrow

Where Ingrow East station once stood is now a
builders supplies yard

Scenes redolent of my childhood Ingrow KWVR

Far any lad fascinated by the railways small stations
such as Ingrow on the KWVR provided much to
look at

How we tried to emulate them with our OO layouts

Keighley and Worth Valley Railway

80002 pauses whilst the points are changed before
running back onto it's train in Keighley station

Lancashire and Yorkshire Raulway

I believe these to be of the L&Y Works at Horwich
though they may be Crewe

The boiler shop. The manual way a firebox plate
was rolled. No hydraulics there, just muscle power

Looks like the chain shop

'Nunlow' Bahamas Society

That steamy atmosphere again

A lovely excellently maintained engine

LMS Black Five steam is what we are about

Again that atmosphere

Steam is what it's all about.

Though in later BR days some had more steam
leaks than widow Twanky's Chinese laundry

Midland Railway 'Derby 4F'

Shrouded in steam an atmospheric picture

Steam cleared and simply simmering

Sorry about the shake

Blue prints Steam Locomotives

Believe it or not they are tee shirts available on Ebay

GWR Panier tank 15XX class

Little wonder they nicknamed them 'ugly duckling'

But everything was easily available to oil view

GWR Prairie

Getting a run out of the station

Building the power

Slipping on the grade

Many miles from home but a welcome visitor

LMS Black Five

It was a damp wet departure

But the footplate was warm and dry

The GWR at the KWVR

A pull out of Keighley

But flies through Ingrow

Followed by the 'ugly duckling'
