I was pleased to have a small hand in the work on this engine

L&Y 957 now BR 52044

After we overhauled the engine at Haworth it was decided to puth the engine back into BR goods livery and bear the engines BR number. Here at the ELR gala

Working well and getting some good running

Here at Ramsbottom double headed, with Aspinalls A class

Seen here with the L&Y 51456, this was originally a Barton Wright Ironclad which Aspinall converted to saddle tanks.

Many thanks to the East Lancs Railway for a super gala.
120 years since the L&Y was Joined by the LMS.
