Steam Bus 'Elizabeth' at Whitby
Yes it is steam driven. Being called 'Elizabeth' is is very pertinent in this Jubilee year of course
A superb sight
And of course you can take a trip on it
Built in 1931 at the Sentinel works in Shrewsbury. I well remember the works on my many trips down the A49 to family in South Wales. It went on to become the Rolls Royce works I believe. Class number being DG6P which indicates, Double Geared 6 wheeled Pneumatic tyred.
