West Somerset Railway old friends and visitors

Derby 4F at Minehead. Bit out of it's normal
territory but of course it could well have been
a shed mate of No88 on the S&D

However the diagonal stripe indicates it is a Midland
engine and barred from running under the catenary

It was lovely to see though

No doubt bout this S&D but you can compare the
Derby outline with the 4F. It was of course a
product of the Derby drawing office

That mogul that never was, a product of the Minehead
drawing office

While being restored at Birmingham Railway Museum the West Somerset Railway Company provided a financial 'leg-up' to the owning Dinmore Manor Fund. It made its debut on the West Somerset Railway over the summer of 1995.
The locomotive's boiler certificate expired in July 2004. Its 10-year overhaul was completed in April 2014, and Dinmore Manor entered service at its new base at the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway.
