Fierce terrain
Fierce terrain, it can be seen how this came to be the most expensive railway in England. Old lane Tuunel and Viaduct followed Lee Bank tunnel on the climb up to Ovenden
Ovenden in my days was not quite as rural as this. Double banking was common especially with heavy freights for Keighley or Bradford.
