Here on Saturday in the wet is KWVR 4F at Haworth yard ready for service at the steam gala. It is the only Midland built 4f in preservation the other three examples being LMS built. See following text
The Derby 4F was a very popular engine despite is's problems, namely insuficient bearing surface leading to hot boxed and early wearing of bearings.
