Bury's Bolton St station is one of the best I have visited. Central to the town and easily accessible with plenty of parking around. Below the View to the south where the line continues to Heywood to the left and Ian Riley's extensive workshops to the right

To the north the lines run under another road bridge and the main station concourse on route to Ramsbottom and Rawtenstall

A very good pub is along side platform three and adjacent to the car park.

The opposite platform houses the superb Lancs/Yorks Midland station buffet and waiting room

Helen really is a very patient train chasers wife especially with a cup of tea.

Lots of things still going on do visit them at http://www.eastlancsrailway.org.uk/
