Ramsbottom Station on the East Lancashire Railway

Ramsbottom was originally a small
industrial town snuggling into the west
Pennine hills

Industry has largely departed to leave a  very rural
Lancashire Dales town very similar to Skipton on
the Yorkshire side of the Pennine Hills

The Stationnis in a beautiful setting and retains all
its historic buildings and fittings including of course
the level crossing at the south end of the town

You can tarry well here with lots to see and plenty
local eateries, shops for the ladies etc

The East Lancashire has grown into one of our
major preserved railways
