Crewe built 'Crab' 13065 on the East Lancashire Railway

Seen here at Rawtenstall on the WLR

A lovely engine and the only one in steam

The other complete engine resides at
York in the NRM

Driver, fireman and second man's brews

Another kinsman of mine (Sir) David Shackleton
lived just around the corner from the station at
Clough Fold. David was the first non Oxford graduate
to hold the position of a permanent secretary at
Westminster. He was a graduate of Accrington
Tech, and of course the trade union movement.
