We had a busy day on Thursday working on 957.
As you see we got the engine out and over a pit
where we could separate the engine and tender
A lot of shunting work to begin to get the engine
out of its corner of the shed, which gave me a chance
to work with an experienced and of course passed
shunting team. Many thanks to Mike Curtis and
Richard Griffiths who passed on their knowledge
and patiently watched and instructed me in the
finer arts of shunting and of course made sure
I did it safely.
957 is now ready for the boiler lift which will
hopefully be in mid March. Yest another learning
opportunity.
