Lifting 957 at Haworth

We have four 25 ton jacks for lifting engines


A very well developed programme for undertaking
heavy lifts ensures safety at all times. 


Mark is one of the two trained staff leading the lift


jaks are3 made ready to lower the frames as soon
as the wheels have been rolled clear.


All staff are briefd before the lift begins


Axle boxes rolled over hydraulic platforms to be 
dismantled

Departing Keighley

It is quite a pull up the bank out of Keighley


No problem for the BR Class 2 Tank

In her old guise 41242 arrives at Oxenhope


41242 drew the first train out of Keighley on the 
reopening of the line

the bottom end rebuild and awaiting the boiler at 
Haworth. Our target is to haveher in steam again for
next August when we celebrate 50 years since the 
Railway children film.
