Anyone seeing the photographs posted yesterday would never expect the Railway to be operating today. However, despite some damage to the bridge over Bridgehouse Beck restricting movement out of Haworth Yard, the main line is fit to take passenger services. The track out of Haworth Yard has been temporarily repaired and the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway is open for business with the first service leaving Oxenhope at 12.30.
It has been a truly remarkable effort by the emergency services and the trusty KWVR volunteers, who never fail to deliver.
What a glorious sight!! Sunshine, blue sky . . . A glorious crisp Winter morning! Wrap up and come and join us on the Mince Pie Specials - no need to book!!
