Now beautifully restored the midland carriages
did not lavish comfort on third class passengers
These short six wheelers would have given you
a bumpy ride even in the plusher first class
Still very reminiscent of Coach and four travel
with luggage plainly meant to be carried on top
All credit to those volunteers who tirelessly restore
these carriages to their mint if somewhat Spartan
condition
Superb workmanship
Now you see what I mean.
Being third class in late
Victorian times was no
pleasure trip.
