The Midland Railway Centre Butterley

The appeal says it all. Much work
being done by an every lessening
number of volunteers

The station at Butterley looks
lovely thanks to the work of
those volunteers

Well kept and maintained in the traditional manner
with lots of Flowers for the summer season

Not on the readily beaten track of steam train
chasers but not for off it either. Jkt 28 off the
M1 and onto the A38 for Derby, fifteen min
brings you to the turn for Ripley on the left
another five minutes takes you through
town, take a left at the end and follow
the road out of town down Butterley
Hill, rounding the bend at the bottom
you can see the station on your left.

Its well worth a visit and your on your way to the
Railway Centre proper at Swanwick Junction.

Go along or look in at
