North Yorks Moors Railway

As you all well know Pickering station will like
the West Somerset hold a special place in my thoughts
Helen and I spend a good deal of time there

The old Lambton tank was one of the first loco's
on this preserved line.

The Whitby connection has been a very good
extension to a lovely line

Pickering station itself is typical of a rural town
of the early twentieth century

The atmosphere is great and I can recommend the
station buffet where you can get the most ginormous
pieces of waist increasing cake there is. Well it's only
now and then isn't it and a little of what you like
does you no harm at all

Like stepping back in time.
