The Railway is operating a special timetable over the weekend of the 16th and 17th September, when our Civil Engineering team will take possession of the line between Haworth and Oakworth and, as advertised, there will be a steam passenger service Haworth - Oxenhope and a diesel railcar service Oakworth - Keighley. In addition a bus service will operate between Haworth and Ingrow.
With no run round facility at Haworth Station, at the south end of the line the train will be operating in top-and-tail mode with a steam locomotive facing Oxenhope and a diesel at the Haworth end to return the train back to Haworth. This short shuttle will be in the hands of WD 2-8-0 90733 with diesel power being provide by Sulzer Class 25, 25 059.
The Oakworth - Keighley shuttle will be provided by our Class 101 diesel multiple unit.
Whilst every effort will be made to ensure that the advised motive power is available, the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway reserve the right to change this when operational circumstances so dictate.
