There is a potential change to the locomotive roster for this weekend. As part of the agreement to overhaul 'Black 5' 45212, the KWVR has call on the locomotive for a set number of months each year or an alternative locomotive if 45212 is unavailable. Accordingly 'Black 5' 44871 will be arriving this week to honour that agreement.
Ian Riley's own 'Black 5' no. 44871 will arrive with us in time for the weekend and it' is planned (subject to the usual availability) that the engine will be used on the steam services this weekend in place of 43924.
On Saturday, Class 20, 20 031, will haul the final Diesel & Ale Day service of the year on Saturday and the Class 101 diesel multiple unit will operate the diesel service on Sunday.
For the timetables in operation this weekend, please click HERE to visit the main website.
Whilst every effort will made to ensure that the advised motive power is available, the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway reserve the right to change this when operational circumstances so dictate.
