I have had some questions about the Shed and work
shops at Haworth
It is now a three line shed with plenty of accommodation
for the engines in service as well as the engines under
repair and overhaul.
The old goods shed next door still houses the
running engines as well as the heavy engineering
equipment/machine tools which make up the
workshops
The extensive yard outside gives plenty of space
for firing up, testing and preparing engines for
service on the line
The stone building in the background is the old
Haworth good shed with a single road running through
The goods handling platforms are very useful for working
on the upper works of engines.
