Low Moor station and coaling plant.

Low Moor is very much in the news at the moment
as contractors have now moved onto the derelict site
of the old station to build the new Low Moor Station

The old station was a very large and complex
site as it also included the large MPD

So rather more simple, the new Low Moor Station
arises like a phoenix from the ashes or may be the
old ash plant.

below is an artists impression of the new station

  1. Thank you for the photos of the old Low Moor complex.
Although I passed through as a child, when the Halifax - Bradford/Leeds trains used to split/join there, I didn't realise it was so large. Pity there isn't a key to the diagram.

Also, concerning the artist's impression of the proposed new station, shouldn't the caption read "from the Halifax-bound platform, bearing in mind the curvature?

    1. You may very well be right Stuart, I simply posted the Telegraph and Argus picture and its caption as published by them. But looking at the line plan you could well be right there.
