Stanier 8F at Oxenhope

It would seem from my asking that at the moment
this engine is in need of expensive work to bring
it back to steam.

It served the railway well when first overhauled
on being rescued from Barry. Maybe a special
appeal is needed both for money and skilled
 volunteers.

One of the Swindon built 8F's. As the standard
wartime engine adopted by the wartime railway
operator they were built by many of the big four
companies.
