film star in the film 'Yanks'
As was Keighley station where the final scenes
were shot.
Here the yanks entrain to go south for Operation
Overlord and the invasion of France
Richard Geere starred
Made in 1978 Keighley station and Big Jim
were central players in the drama
A background many of us know very well indeed
Of course we must never forget many of these American
boys were killed
The film recreates the very human side of a soldiers life
