Bradford Foster Sq station and the Midland Hotel

Just after the turn of the 19th to 20th century

We did have a lovely city, pity they decided to pull
most of it down. Here we see the reason for the
naming, the figure of Foster loomed large over
the square. He was the children's reformer and
instigator of the national education system

  1. A minor correction. The industrialist, the square, and the station were spelled Forster.
