The Hunslet Engine Co Ltd No 2705 'Beatrice'

 
Superbly preserved at the Embsay Bolton Abbey
Railway

 
Hunslet No.2705 of 1945, 'Beatrice', a standard 16"
 locomotive. This loco was equipped with a Kylpor
exhaust and underfeed stoker but in preservation
 these have been removed. 'Beatrice' in de-modified
form is seen at Embsay

 
Beatrice came to the railway from NCB Acton Hall
Colliery, Pontefract, where it had worked with  two
of the other engines which are based at Embsay;
 S112 and Airedale No. 3
