this summer in bloom
Another season of hard graft by the Railway's gardens team has brought yet another accolade for this small band of enthusiastic, dedicated and hard working group of volunteer gardeners.
At the York Racecourse presentation ceremony on the 8th September, just like last year, the Railway lifted a coveted Gold Award at the 'Yorkshire in Bloom' Awards in the 8A Category - Visitor Attractions. The photograph below shows Sue Holmes collecting the award on behalf of the gardening team and the Railway. Also Oakworth came away with a Silver Gilt Award, being entered into the competition in its own right.
