We had a little chat too
Frome left to right are Jacob Halliday, Mark Lane,
Ralph Ingham, Anthony Bainbridge and myself
Philip Shackleton with Noel Hartley our operations
manager extreme left. Ralph Ingham and myself are
leading the team overhauling L&Y 957. Ralph
leading the work on the boiler and myself
leading on the bottom end, frames, wheels,
running gear etc.
The Duchess was interested in the work on 957 as
the Railway Children is a favorite film. HRH then
traveled to Oxenhope in the Old Gentleman's saloon,
hauled that day by Taff Vale 85 driver Dave Coates
and fireman Fran Hartley.
