BR Standard class 2 2-6-0
These little moguls did sterling work on branch
lines in the fifties and up to the end of steam
I always loved em because the looked like real
steam engines as they had a tender
Standard class 4 tank.
There were of course the workhorses of short inter
city runs such as Bradford Leeds stopping trains
as the acceleration got them away quickly from
the frequent stops on such journeys
