Work on L&Y 957 has now moved to about the
mid point
Almost completely stripped down and clearances
returned to what they should be.
Left hand slide bars away for redressing and will
soon be refitted
Piano wires set down the bores to ensure when
we refit the slide bars they are central
The big ends and eccentric sheaves machined
to take up excessive clearances.
The next big operation before rebuilding the bottom
end is to lift the frames and drop the wheel sets
out to examine the axle boxes
