Doe Park to Denholme to Hewenden Viaduct

Several smaller tunnels follow Thornton Station starting with Well heads then Hamer's Hill on to Doe Park and Denholme Station


There were stations at Wilsden, Harecroft and Cullingworth. The next magnificent structure was Hewenden Viaduct. Like Thornton it cosses a significant valley

Hewenden Viaduct is a Grade II listed structure.
It crosses Hewenden Beck at about 270 metres above sea level  the stone was quarried locally.
Situated near Cullingworth on the GNR's line from Thornton.
Hewenden viaduct, now open to the public & forms part of the Great Northern Trail.
Heweden Viaduct  17 arches 376 yards long 123 feet high.
