On this very quiet Tuesday when we visited I was
allowed access to the workshops for which I am
very grateful to the staff at Swanwick
The workshops are next door to the museum and
much work is undertaken here on steam locos
Here 7F 2-8-0 is undergoing heavy overhaul
Soon boiler and frames will be reunited
