The old station is now a children's nursery and of
course as an old teacher I can have no problem with
that. The building and platform awning has been
faithfully preserved
Now children play where busy trains transferred
passengers between the Southern standard gauge
railway and the 2ft gauge Lynton and Barnstaple
Thanks to the North Devon council the site is perfectly
preserved
