I was surprised how commodious the
brake/goods van was. Of course it was
a commercial working railway and
carried much goods as well as heavy
passenger traffic in the summer
These were on display at Woody Bay
at that time
The first of the original carriages was on display too
Now of course thanks to the work of
the volunteers a full rake of three are
fully restored. My team tried them out
So much credit to this railways it has grown steadily
year on year and we visit every year on our annual
holiday in Devon
