56XX leaves Embsay for Bolton Abbey

A superb engine and with us here in Yorkshire
for the rest of the year.

Now the Taffy tank is due back for the K&WVR
Autumn steam gala, what a perfect comparison
to be made with it and Collett's answer for the South
Wales coal work. Sadly the Taffy tank was much
better as the 56XX class had a habit of derailing on
the tight curves up the valley's. I believe the engine
men used to prefer driving them bunker first where
the trailing truck could guide the engine into
such curves
