As can be seen a second line has been added and
the platform refurbished
The second line now has a run round loop controlled
by a ground frame
Engines can now unhitch and roll forwards to clear
the points for changing, then run round there trains
repeating the operation at the rear of their train
The overall refurbishment of the station to is of
excellent order.
How it used to be. Steam trains had a tortuous back
shunt to change ends
