To think there were thousands of these in use on
our railways as the good were moved around
Gone were the milk churns, now tanker trains carried
the milk from farm to Dairy
Wood being dangerous dud to it's combustible nature
steel soon made up the majority of goods wagons
But the brake vans remained wood
Cold comfort on an icy night with a heavy goods
running up the Settle and Carlisle and over Shap
