The 4-4-0 tanks were prolific on the Lancashire
and Yorkshire Railway system. Many worked
around Bradford and were shedded at both
Low Moor and Manningham sheds
 
 
Working heavy suburban passenger traffic that
needed quick acceleration between closely
spaced stations
