Oxenhope on the Keighley Worth Valley Railway

Oxenhope is the top of the line and as can be seen some 660 ft above sea level. Oxenhope is a very lovely Yorkshire village right on the edge of the Pennines. The road from there goes over the top past Top Withens, Wuthering Heights of Charlotte Bronte.

The station, fully restored, houses the waiting room and ticket office as well as the shop where many books periodicals and railway related items can be purchased

The station buffet is housed in a restored Midland buffet carriage. Very reasonable prices and of course full view of the trains coming and going.
Outside the station the display hall is situated. A good afternoon can be spent at Oxenhope alone. They are of course still in business at weekends for some time to come so go along and see for yourself.
