Super D 49395 at Grosmont.

They were called 'Super' D's because they were superheated and the engines were rebuilt from George Whale class D 0-8-0s. Given a class of 7P they hauled some the heaviest freight trains throughout the midland region


I shall do a little more in depth article on 49395 later but for now do enjoy the video I made on Wednesday and the pictures courtesy of Wikepedia.


A massive restoration project and how lucky we are to see it back in steam.
