Here the old Midland Station and what is left of the facade of the old Midland Station.
When originally build it was called Market St station as it was quite simply at the end of Market St. However as the town grew a wide and spacious square was created in front and named after one of the town's leading members of Parliament becoming Foster Sq and the station followed suite.The station has been moved some several hundred yards to the north now. A new hotel built by Messrs Premier Inns has bee build almost next door to that station. I note from advertisers it is displayed there.
