Yorkshire Dales Railway connection

As you can see the Yorkshire Dales Railway is so tantalizingly close to reconnection with the main line.

On the left is the network rail line from Skipton to Swinden Quarry, still in use for freight only and the to the right is the Bow Bridge loop on the Yorkshire Dales Railway into Embsay Station. Just some 100 yards would see the railways back on the main line and running through to Skipton station. I know they are working hard with all the powers that be but they need support in the form of people saying how good it would be for the community and area to be once more connected to the main line system. Undoubtedly a rail link from Skipton to Bolton Abbey would be a boon to the Dales and could well reduce the number of cars.

My thanks to Google maps for this excellent satellite view highlighting the last little hurdle
